It was another terrific Kscope! Once again, a great venue and opportunity to learn and interact with customers and partners. This year’s attendees had a long list of sessions to choose from, a vibrant exhibit hall and an opportunity to enjoy the grounds of the beautiful resort and the hospitality of San Antonio. Whether you enjoy sightseeing, water slides, lazy rivers, quiet pools or a round of golf on a TPC course or just remembering the Alamo, there was something for everyone. And for those wishing to “try their luck” CompIntelligence returned with our lucky wheel! This year we gave away cash and lots of it…well okay, Amazon Gift Cards! When you were walking the exhibit hall and heard laughter, applause and excitement, it was most likely coming from the CompIntelligence Booth! Congratulations to all of the winners! In addition to all of the fun at our booth, people gained knowledge and insight into our industry leading EPM service offerings. We had many in-depth conversations regarding our Oracle Hyperion application reviews, support, consulting and education offerings.
Just like previous Kscopes there was significant conversation surrounding the product offerings and product road maps. While Customers were excited to hear about the new cloud offerings, many were also relieved to hear that support has been extended for the on premises products. There was excitement and much discussion about feature parity with FCCS as compared with on premises HFM. The update on Oracle Hyperion’s cloud based planning offerings (“EPBCS” & “PBCS”) was very positive as customer adoption and usage is growing significantly. We are pleased to see that Oracle is making concerted steps forward in maturing their cloud based EPM offerings. CompIntelligence is in a unique position to service and support our customers with their on premise needs for the foreseeable future, while also assisting in considering and moving to the cloud. These topics promoted numerous “booth discussions” and follow-ups. One important takeaway from Kscope17 was that education and training on these products is becoming one of the most important investment areas in the coming years. This as organizations realize the only way to get the best usage out of the advanced product offerings is through formalized and ongoing user education and training. At CompIntelligence, in addition to our professional consultants and support staff, we have a team of professional trainers and course developers to ensure that we offer the most current Oracle Hyperion courses available on the market.
San Antonio was fun and it was great to see old friends and make new ones. We are looking forward to Kscope18 next June in Orlando, Florida!
